Lalleh Alsadat Ghavami

Laleh Ghavami’s artistic practice is a dynamic exploration of identity, boundaries, and perception, bridging a background in biophysics with fine art. Working intuitively with materials, she allows them to reveal subconscious aspects of identity while challenging imposed limitations.

Drawing functions as both process and thought in her practice, manifesting through sculptural forms, immersive installations, and tactile interventions where lines extend beyond the surface into three-dimensional space. She creates responsive organic structures that interact with light, movement, and touch, navigating the tension between order and chaos, control and chance.

Her methodology balances meticulous construction with intuitive discovery, allowing materials to dictate their own logic and language. As an immigrant artist, she weaves personal and cultural narratives throughout the work, exploring themes of transformation, resilience, and feminine strength.

Her installations serve as metaphors for the fragile yet enduring nature of identity, inviting viewers to reconsider presence, absence, and perception. Through material investigation and immersive experiences, her work fosters dialogue about the unseen forces that shape human existence.
